As part of the collaboration between Stonewood Homes and Eco Green Partners, Eco Green Partners will supply solar panels for our development of 52 homes in Nailsea, all built to the Passivhaus standard. For every solar panel installed, Eco Green commits to planting a tree – in conjunction with tree planting initiative Word Forest – in areas where deforestation has occurred. Simultaneously contributing to reforestation efforts and carbon offsetting, this initiative aligns with Stonewood’s Group-wide mission of cutting carbon emissions.
“At Stonewood Homes, we’re committed to integrating low carbon technologies into our developments and include solar PV across all our sites as standard.” said Katie Painter, Sustainability Officer at Stonewood Homes. “Our collaboration with Eco Green Partners enables us not only to offer clean, renewable energy solutions to our residents, but also to actively participate in global reforestation and carbon reduction initiatives, helping to combat climate change.”
The Elm Grove development epitomises a comprehensive approach to sustainable living – the meticulous design optimises energy efficiency whilst minimising environmental impact, offering a plethora of social and economic benefits to our residents.
505 solar panels will be installed by Eco Green on the development. With 505 trees subsequently being planted, the design at Elm Grove will mean reduced energy costs to incoming residents as well as tangible contribution to the planet.
